After turning her back on the Nortons and a record deal, Billie is desperate to connect with her real family. So Gus takes her to visit her mother's sister, where she makes a discovery that upends her life once again.

Devastated to learn she's cost the Norton Hotel a very important guest, Billie does everything she can to woo the man back while also dealing with a bizarre meeting at her record label.

Billie's found her place in the city - an apartment, a role with the hotel and has been offered a recording contract - but an impromptu trip back to Walperinga threatens to throw it all off-balance.

Billie gets a chance to work with a famous music producer, but first she must write a love song, something she has zero experience with. And Gus is rushed to hospital.

Billie is forced to evaluate what is truly important in her life as Gus faces life-threatening surgery.

Music, love, a home - Billie realises she can have it all but that it's meaningless without family.
