Rescuers race to assist a pod of more than 20 pilot whales that have mysteriously stranded on a Florida beach. And, a baby dolphin is tangled in a mass of potentially deadly fishing line while its f rantic mother refuses to leave its side.

A gentle manatee becomes stranded in a remote part of the Florida Everglades, forcing rescuers to abandon their boats and wade through alligator infested waters to save her. And, a mother and calf manatee pair is caught in an invisible web of fishing line causing a shocking injury that threatens both of their lives.

An orphaned, newborn gray whale is stranded on a beach prompting one of the largest marine mammal rescues in history as rescuers become surrogate parents and overcome hurdle after hurdle.

A manatee is trapped in a storm sewer and rescuers act quickly to reach the stranded animal before she starves or suffocates. And, rescuers negotiate the end to a slippery standoff as a wayward sea lion evades police.
