After rescuing aid workers from the Samaru islands, the HMAS Hammersley engages a fishing vessel straying into Australian waters.

Despite being determined to earn respect, Hammersley's new chef "Bomber" Brown but faces discipline after losing her temper with another crew member. Also, the crew discover a dead pirate and a killer cargo on board a stolen boat.

The Hammersley is hijacked by a mysterious gang of illegal immigrants who are determined to flee Australian water. Lives are at stake when Nikki and Kate are taken hostage on board.

Kate's romantic life is looking up after a blind date with an SAS commander. Mike needs all his diplomacy skills when a sexy French naval captain tries to seduce him.

Robert fails a drug test but is determined to prove his innocence. Meanwhile, the Hammersley uncovers a smuggling operation by Samaruian rebels which is designed to destabilise the government.

Nikki is sexually harassed and blackmailed over her secret affair with ET. The crew are exposed to deadly avian flu while arresting illegal fishermen.

The crew find a boy who has found a cache of guns. The boy is later kidnapped which ends up ruining a date for Kate and Jim. Meanwhile, one crew member faces losing the love of his life.

Bomber Brown and Spider Webb fall overboard and as the man of the watch, Buffer takes it hard that the two missing officers might drown. Meanwhile Buffer also deals with a personal tragedy.

Kate is trapped in a deadly showdown with a ruthless mercenary and the Hammersley comes under fire while trying to capture a shipload of stolen weapons.

Mike Flynn and Captain Jim Roth are both critically injured during a bold rescue mission on Samaru. Kate is made acting command of the Hammersley, and faces a series of life and death decisions.

A change of command on HMAS Hammersley results in divided loyalties and the humiliation of the ship's most senior female officer. After a dangerous departure from Samaru, Commander Mike Flynn is recovering in hospital.

After rescuing Ray Walsman's boat from pirates, Mike uncovers a link between Walsman and the rebel forces on Samaru.

It's battle stations for the Hammersley when rebel forces launch a violent coup attempt on Samaru.
