Scully's promised a trial with Blackburn Rovers, but it looks unlikely to happen, while his probation officer is trying to pressure him to take up drama. Even worse, he can't stop seeing hallucinations of Kenny Dalglish.

Scully and friends steal some saplings from the park and try to sell them on the estate. However watching out for the police isn't his only worry: Bruce Grobbelaar joins his list of hallucinations, and his probation officer comes to visit.

Scully is becoming increasingly disillusioned with school, but is enticed by the chance of getting to know Joanna. His afternoon is far more confrontational, as an ill-prepared supply teacher takes over his maths class.

Scully is out on Friday night with Mooey, Mad Dog and Snotty Dog: all four of them have no money to spend, and nowhere to spend it. Determined to enjoy themselves regardless, they get up to a series of mischief and enter a world of trouble

Scully's teacher improves his offer if he joins the panto: a guaranteed trial, this time with Liverpool. Scully stubbornly refuses and argues with Joanna, causing him to take out his frustrations on Mrs Leigh and her confiscated footballs.

Scully gets confirmation of his trial for Liverpool, but also learns the full details of his part of the bargain: playing Fairy Godmother in the panto. A date with Marie doesn't improve things, as it seems the entire city knows about it.

Scully must confront demons both real and imagined in this double-length final episode: the consequences of his breaking and entering, the real Kenny Dalglish, and the true nature of his mother's romantic life.
