Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television

No-nonsense L.A. cop Jessica Mathers is forced to team up with the air-headed actor Ryan Hansen, who knows his way around Hollywood and films everything for his new YouTube Red reality cop show/meta comedy, to solve a John Doe murder.

Ryan and Mathers investigate the murder of two actors disguised as a murder-suicide. Hansen is concerned about his audition for a role in the upcoming whitewashed songless movie version of the Broadway hit musical about Alexander Hamilton.

Due to low ratings, Ryan is replaced by the charismatic Joel McHale. The new Ryan, Mathers and the old Ryan, now in a bit role as a common police officer, investigate the murder of three ball players and the sneakers they're wearing.

Ryan and Mathers investigate the murder of four drug dealing gangbangers whose drugs got stolen. They also bond over Paula Abdul: Opposites Attract (1989).

Ryan and Mathers investigate the murder of a famous food blogger and the four co-hosts of his food podcast.

Ryan and Mathers investigate the murder of six players in an escape room who were killed just like in the script for the popular upcoming Hollywood escape room thriller.

Ryan and Mathers investigate the murder of seven actresses who worked as Disney princesses for hire for a Hollywood catering company run by La reine des neiges (2013) star Kristen Bell.

In part two of season one finale, the "Seven Deadly Sins of Hollywood" killer strikes again, Mathers gets suspended, and Ryan hires a professional screenwriter to try and solve the case.
