Alan Stewart is blackmailed into picking up and dropping off a package in Iceland. He is ordered not open it but when he reaches the rendezvous it's a trap. Instead of passing on the parcel he and his girlfriend Elin go it alone.

Stewart opens the package and discovers a circuit board for an American missile. Taggert agrees to send Jack Case to get the package. Stewarts is tracked by both US and USSR agents. Stewart attempts the swap but Kennikin captures him.

Kennikin wants the circuit board. Stewart gets time when he tells him they both work for Slade. The circuit board is passed to a US contact and it's not American. Slade admits he's Soviet agent and a trade is arranged with Kennikin.
