Jorge Pereira is one of the country's best Vale Tudo fighters. He loves fighting above all, but over that love he lost sight in one eye, his career as a fighter, his teaching license and the support of his master. Beaten, Jorge becomes a bouncer at a Miami's nightclub, where he meets businessman Scott and has the opportunity of going back to Brazil to bring back true fighting.

Jorge and Scott start putting together Río Heroes, but the Vale Tudo Confederation, afraid it might be a setback for the sport, forbids its fighters from taking part in the championship. Upset, Jorge will seek out fighters who, just like him, have been officially banned from fighting by the Confederation.

Jorge gets the violent Rio Heroes underway. The first fights without rules are a total success, but not to the eyes of the Confederation that plots reprisals against Jorge. Furious and feeling betrayed by the person he least expected, he gets rid of his fighting career emblem, but keeps the honor within himself.

Jorge has to curb the emotions and conflicts between the fighters and Scott's inconsistency, who wants to organize cock fights at the same location where the championship takes place. Their dispute takes a turn for the worst and the championship hangs by a thread, but a tragic event brings them close again.

The tragedy at Río Heroes leaves everyone puzzled. Accused of being responsible for the incident, Jorge is determined to find out and revenge the person who is framing him. Meanwhile, the long awaited final at Río Heroes has come and each fighter has a strong personal motivation to win the championship.
