On board a canoe on a lake the lifeless body of Annabelle Renoir, instructor of a leisure centre, is found. At the same time, Marion Meyer, one of the BAFA preparation trainees, is missing. The SR is uncertain if she is Annabelle's murderer or a second victim and if both cases could be linked to the rape of a young girl in the vicinity three weeks ago, whose culprit is still running.

The body of François Roussel is rescued from one of the the river locks, the marks on his chest indicate that he was murdered with a thin, pointed object. Delphine, his fiancée, informs SR that he was a homeless person, who has become a volunteer at the soup kitchen. But his wife Maud's statement shows a different version of the man: he had abandoned her and his son a year ago, after having escaped with a million euros fraudulently obtained from the family printing company where he was the CEO.

In the Gironde estuary, Christian Brunet telephones his father Maurice from his fishery on piles to spend the day fishing together. During the conversation, Maurice hears someone greeting his son and an argument, but communication cuts. Arrived on the spot, Maurice discovers the lifeless body of Karine Lalande, one of his son's colleagues at work, but not a trace of his son.

Alexandre Mauriac, 40, a famous architect, is attacked in his car by a masked stranger and his body is discovered on the side of a road, killed by a shotgun. Everything points to a car-jacking gone bad, because his car is worth 80,000 euros, however the SR finds it immediately set on fire 10 km away, with the gun that killed him inside. The gun belonged to the deceased so Bernier and the team wonder if he was being menaced.

A young girl in a campsite running in the middle of the woods, discovers Patrick Vianet, sales manager for a pharmaceutical laboratory, dead on a wheelchair. His wife Chantal declares that her husband did not suffer from any handicap. Last news she had from him was that he was meeting an investor for a new business he wanted to set up. By questioning Jacques Nerval, CEO of the pharmaceutical group, the SR learns that Vianet was made redundant almost a year ago, and that he had hidden it from his wife.

During her tango class, Constance Fabiani, 42, secretary, receives a phone call and leaves the dance hall. Worried not to see her return, her colleagues discover her a few minutes later murdered in the parking lot near the building, her mobile phone robbed. The SR finds out that she was in the process of divorce for two years and the relationship with her husband was not friendly. She had recently started an affair with her dance teacher, Roberto Arias, which had made his ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Sauveur, jealous.

Adjudant Irrandonéa makes a collaboration in a video clip filmed by Yohann Ellis, 27, a music star and a childhood friend of his. After the shooting, Luc receives a message from Yohann in which he accuses himself of a murder, but when the Adjudant is back to the film set in the port of Bordeaux, the lifeless body of the singer is found inside a zip bag in the sea. Ellis had just arrived to Bordeaux from Los Angeles, where he lived, and had recently met Nicolas, Olivier and Luc, the members of his old band, back from the days when they lived in San Juan de Luz.
