When local high-schooler Gretchen McGrath goes missing, Detective Mike Serrato fears that a serial killer who terrorized his town five years earlier is on the prowl once again.

Mike launches right back into his old investigation when Gretchen is found dead and all the clues point to the RRK: the Russian River Killer.

While the town gathers to remember Gretchen, a former suspect in the RRK case resurfaces.

The investigation leads Mike and his partner Cyd to a nearby town, where they learn about a woman who went missing 26 years ago.

As a father-son hunting trip takes an interesting turn, doubts are cast over whether Gretchen was in fact a victim of the RRK.

A tormented Leo finds himself tested at every turn as he struggles to keep his demons in check. Meanwhile, Mike's concerns about his son grow after he disappears from school.

The RRK meets his next victim just as the truth behind Gretchen's death leads to Mike's removal from the case.

As the fate of the woman who disappeared 26 years earlier crystallizes, the RRK tries to point police towards his latest victim - only to find that the remains have vanished.

A neighbor has an interesting proposition for Leo. Meanwhile, Paxton and Sam make a shocking discovery.

While the police are confident that they've identified the RRK, Mike is convinced the real murderer is still out there. Will the killer's true identity be revealed before it's too late?
