The teachers at Armstrong Elementary adjust to online classes as the city of Los Angeles goes on lock down. Chelsea fears that Aaron won't meet an important deadline. Princess gives Ja'Nelle a pep talk as she prepares for her first date since breaking up with Dell. Janelle and Aaron have an eventful day that leads to a memorable night.

Ja'Nelle reassures a worried Trinity. Ja'Nelle and Aaron recap their epic date to their friends. Chelsea and Aaron hit a snag in their friendship. Terrance issues a stern warning to Nicole. Dell regains his power in more ways than one. Tony's over-indulgence costs him a job.

At Tony's suggestion Ja'Nelle invites a reluctant Princess to join them for a virtual double date. Princess snoops on Aaron's page and discovers an admirer. Trinity teases Ja'Nelle about her budding relationship. Nicole calls Dell after he makes a big announcement on social media.

Ja'Nelle and Aaron continue to bond through virtual dates and she invites him to a game night fundraiser for her school. Worlds collide at the virtual game night. Chelsea feels left out while Aaron pursues a new love. After the event, Ja'Nelle and Aaron take their relationship to another level.

The day after the eventful game night leaves Ja'Nelle feeling uncertain and frustrated. Tony comforts Chelsea after news of a devastating loss. Nicole is furious with Dell and Danielle also gives him the cold shoulder. Terrance checks in on Ja'Nelle when she takes time off from work.

Eight months before quarantine life was very different. Princess informs Ja'Nelle of an encounter between Dell and another woman at a bar. Tony tries to get Aaron to join him at a pool party to no avail as he has intimate plans with Chelsea. Rachel prepares for a date night with her husband Wes as Trinity helps her aunt upgrade her appliances.

Ja'Nelle is amused when Dell arrives at her grandmother's house to an unexpected surprise. Trinity has a successful job interview. Terrance tries to ease tension during the staff meeting after game night. Chelsea and Aaron have a difficult conversation. Tony lets Princess know of his plans to take the pandemic more seriously.

Ja'Nelle and Aaron have a tense conversation as he explains his absence. Dana and Terrance have a heart-to-heart. Tony tries to keep a bored Princess interested. Dell and Danielle are excited about their upcoming show. Ja'Nelle gets devastating news. Chelsea is given an ultimatum.

Tony gets a new job working for Dell. Ja'Nelle behaves strangely in the wake of her grandmother's death. Ja'Nelle and Dell share a tender moment. Dana refuses to speak to Drew. The men share laughs at one another's expense at a virtual birthday celebration.

As everyone adjusted to life in quarantine in April 2020, relationships started to change. Danielle and Rachel discover exactly how small Los Angeles is. Ja'Nelle and Chelsea have an awkward encounter due to an overzealous Aaron. Princess and Tony hit it off and bond over the similarities their friends share.

Old flames ignite and relationships and friendships are put to the test as the ladies prepare for the launch of Dana's new podcast. Danielle tries to unburden her feelings for a distracted and otherwise engaged Dell. Mandy sets her sights on Drew. Dana faces her marriage issues. Things don't go as planned at the podcast launch.
