In this first episode Andrew gives a brief history of Australia during the Cretaceous period including the environment, flora and fauna.

Andrew takes a look at the lost rift valley that once existed between Australia and Antarctica in the cretaceous period. A place where dinosaurs and other creatures survived in floodplains and polar forests.

It is about the Australian polar dinosaur, Leaellynasaura amicagraphica. Famously known from the BBC documentary 'Walking with Dinosaurs'.
