Two Stockholm women pay a visit to Svartlien while a bear awakened by an avalanche is on the loose.

A jetset entrepreneur and his girlfriend visit Svartlien to try and sell an electronic weather forecasting system. Jan-Erik soon recognizes the girlfriend as one of his old girlfriends from his skiing days.

Jan-Erik, Olle and Bengt-Hans secretly invite two inspectors to suggest that the Olympic Games are held in Svartlien in 2010, despite the fact that a pack of wolves are traveling through the area. Meanwhile, Olle feels guilty for stealing a bottle of soda...

A police inspection is approaching. Since the Marklund brothers and Bengt-Hans know the local police, Agne, well, it usually goes by smoothly despite the poor standards of the settlement. This year, however, a new, by-the-book policeman, Yngve, is in charge of the inspection...

A class of special-requirement students from Danderyd have a field trip to Svartlien. Suddenly, Sven-Erik becomes attracted to their no-nonsense teacher.

It's Christmas Eve and while waiting for Santa, the Marklund brothers pass the time by decorating the home, heating up oatmeal and remembering Christmas Eve 1973, the day their father left Svartlien.
