Pete's sales are down, so his boss suggests a session with a beautiful psychologist to improve his grumpy image. Whitney Blake guest stars.

Faced with the decision of how much to spend for their friends' anniversary present, Pete and Gladys solve the problem in a most unorthodox way.

Pete may get a job transfer to Tokyo, so he arranges for an exchange student from Japan to teach he and Gladys about life and customs there.

Pete's boss wants him to work on the weekend Gladys had planned for a getaway. When he lies to get the time off, complications set in when his boss arrives at the same hotel Pete and Gladys are staying at.

Gladys would like to take a Hawaiian vacation, so she rents rooms in her home to visiting conventioneers. Pete doesn't think that the ensuing chaos is worth all the trouble.

Plump Cousin Violet has sent Gladys' picture to her pen pal boyfriend. Now he plants to visit with Violet in person. What will Gladys do?

Gladys bemoans her next door neighbors moving until an old school friend arrives and announces she's moving to Los Angeles with her husband.
