Photographer Rik Rollinga sets eyes on the girl of his dreams on train-station Baarn. He decides to find her whatever it takes and calls her Yolanda in lieu of another name.

Just returned from the States, Otto Drissen meets Rik Rollinga in the Willy Dobbeplantsoen and tells him to ask Loes de Wilde for help.

Loes de Wilde points Rik to Rein Schaambergen, P.I. for help in his search for Yolanda. Otto's American girl Grace meets successful businessman and former priest Bert van Zutphen.

Van Zuthpen asks Rik to photograph Grace and in doing so he finds Otto's missing girlfriend and mother as well as Rein Schaambergen's long lost wife. But no sign of Yolanda.

Otto advices Rik to cut a record in order to find Yolanda. But when it turns out he can't sing, Victor van Vliet takes over. After spending the night with a British hitchhiker, Rik catches another glimpse of Yolanda.

Rein finds Rik on a plane and claims to have found Yolanda for him. Van Zutphen has bought the Molton hotel and plans to demolish it. But just married Boy Bensdorp and Elsje de Wit can still spend their wedding night in the honeymoon suite. Loes de Wilde organizes a grand dinner for the newlyweds in restaurant 'De Gekgeworden Bever'.
