After an eight-year exile to Moscow, former MI6 mole Lucas Frye returns to London much to the dismay of the man who exposed him, Peter Duckham. Even more surprising, however, is the offer Frye makes to Duckham for them to become partners.

Peter is smitten with FDA's first client, a mysterious American named Parker, and is determined to keep Lucas away from her. But is she all she appears to be?

Lucas, Peter, and Parker spy on a IT genius whom they believe is selling valuable information to the competition. Meanwhile, Peter suspects Lucas is still working with his old KBG bosses when he overhears him speaking Russian on the phone.

The duo takes on a surveillance job of a football manager named Andy Hepple, but while Peter freezes his arse off in a van in front of Hepple's household, Lucas has a different and an altogether more devious plan.

Peter, Lucas, and Parker have to retrieve a container full of horse sperm held hostage by a spiteful wife, but their various masquerade plans keep going awry.

Lucas and Peter spy on an influential company director having an affair with a Bulgarian temptress hell-bent on publishing a memoir about it on behalf of a mysterious, sushi-loving client.

After Lucas announces his intentions to publish a memoir, someone starts trying to kill him which makes Peter very anxious indeed.
