Shruthi, a young happy go lucky girl, brought up in a conservative family, has to choose between marriage and freedom, although the groom is her childhood crush Abhi. She slaps him for making her uncomfortable; the family and relatives misinterpret her behavior and her deed ends the bride-viewing ceremony on a harsh, bitter note. Both the families damage mutual respect with a dramatic argument. She leaves a note to her parents and elopes from her parent's home.

Shruthi moves into Divya's home for the time-being, and explains her the scene. Divya helps her patch up with Abhi, and the couple decide to live-in together, in order to know each other better before making a marital decision. Meanwhile, Shruthi's parents are deeply ashamed by Shruthi's behavior, and decide to let her meet her own fate. Shruthi's Doctor informs about her critical condition.

Shruthi and Abhi, struggle to find a new suitable house and they eventually find one to their taste. Shruthi's parents are less angry and more worried now for her daughter, that she's left home and they're clueless about her whereabouts. Shruthi's father calls up Divya. He's very concerned and worried about Shruthi. Shruthi anonymously picks up the call instead of Divya. Her father's voice puts her to tears. Shruthi is hesitant about moving in with Abhi, although she initiated the idea. Divya assures Shruthi that she'll do fine.

Shruthi and Abhi move in and see a ray of hope. Abhi's furious father cuts all his allowances for causing disrepute to the family. Divya finds out Shruthi's sanitary pad. Shruthi joins her new job. Abhi is more determined about earning money, and getting a break. He doesn't inform Shruthi that he's running low on allowances, and tries to amend it by making sacrifices for her. Shruthi finds it difficult to adjust to the manager at her workplace. Abhi's script is rejected by the producer, whom he was hoping to me for a long time.

Abhi is pestered by the broker regarding rental agreement. He manages to convince him without letting Shruthi know about the matter, but seeks help of his dear, yet rich friend Sanjay for money. Shruthi is harrassed by her pervert manager for her rigid, conservative behavior. Abhi on compulsion, accepts an offer from his childhood friend Seshu, for a pre-wedding shoot. Shruthi helps out Abhi in the process. The awkward marriage couple seem quite off. The bride was being forced into the wedding and Shruthi senses that, argues with the bride and breaks the marriage. ...

Shruthi and Abhi are disappointed by their behavior. There's an air of silence between them. When Seshu praises Shruthi about her deeds, Abhi realizes his fault. The couple eventually make amends for each other and get back together. Shruthi's manager however turns more overbearingly rude for missing an important file. Shruthi begins to show symptoms and Abhi notices a hint of uneasiness in her.Shruthi symptoms grow. Shruthi is shattered, but pretends to be normal with Abhi, and plans a surprise for him.

The couple visit a orphanage of girls, and Shruthi distributes sanitary pads to teenage girls, and explains their importance. The couple return and have a happy time. Abhi is still unaware of Shruthi's illness. Shruthi is nowhere to be found, when Abhi wakes up the next morning. Shruthi sends a video message to Abhi and her family, about her condition. Everyone is deeply shattered. By the time, they realize their mistakes, its already too late. Shruthi is no more. The subsequent reactions follow. Abhi meets Shruthi's parents and sees them broken.
