Host Jeff Corwin ventures out to Florida's Everglades to observe the American Alligator in its natural habitat. He begins his journey at Georgia Aquarium with an examination of the albino alligators on display there. Unlike gators in the wild, albinos could not survive without human conservation. The American Alligator is an apex predator that is the designer and keeper of its environment and part of our national heritage.

This Ocean Mysteries adventure tells the story of "Murphy, " an orphan loggerhead sea turtle rescued by Georgia Aquarium. Jeff takes us through his journey from rescue to rehabilitation, and finally to release back into the wild.

Jeff Corwin dives into Georgia Aquarium's Ocean Voyager to get an up-close and personal view of the Whale Shark - the largest living fish species. Though it's name sounds scary, the whale shark is a filter feeder a fact that Jeff reveals to-side as he feeds the monsters from a rubber raft. From there Jeff travels to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico to track migrating sharks in the wild.

In this episode of Ocean Mysteries with Jeff Corwin, Jeff journeys to the Breton National Wildlife Refuge in Louisiana to assist U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries as they work to study and protect the Brown Pelican. Like the Jackass Penguin, the Brown Pelican is a precious bird that finds itself in critical condition due to catastrophic oil spills.

Home to countless marine animal species and delicate ecosystems, coral reefs are critically important to our Earth's environment.
