Silicon Valley pioneer Paul LeBlanc joins forces with Special Agent Shea Salazar after a series of tech mishaps places the world in danger; Paul juggles his health and family life; Shea's son experiences bullying at school.

After being mishandled, NEXT escapes the confined servers of its home company and gains internet access. Shea recruits Paul and her co-workers to track NEXT's possible location. Paul attempts to rekindle his relationship with his daughter.

Shea and Le Blanc head to Dartmouth to investigate NEXT's whereabouts, which are potentially linked to Biomotion Labs. There, they visit LeBlanc's friend, Professor Richard Pearish for answers. Meanwhile, Shea, Ethan and Ty take extra precautions to disconnect from electronics and the Internet, and LeBlanc urges Abby to do so, as well, but NEXT complicates their plans.

Shea and LeBlanc recruit Ben, Gina and C.M. to help decrypt a stolen hard drive while NEXT attempts to hinder their progress; Ted and his Zava team put in extra effort to locate NEXT.

Next orchestras a dangerous reunion for Shea and someone from her past. Ted is in trouble with Zava and tries to find a way to stay in the company. LeBlanc gets honest. C.M.'s life is in danger.

She saves Ethan from extreme danger. Ty makes a difficult decision about his family's safety. LeBlanc battles his degenerative brain disease. C.M. and Gina escape the hospital.

LeBlanc and Shea race to stop Ted's plan for NEXT. Ben and Gina investigate NEXT's latest victims which appears to be a freak accident. Shea reaches her breaking point.

Next causes an elderly couple to get lost by manipulating GPS data. LeBlanc tries to plant a virus on the server but must break in to ZAVA first. Shea and Ty disagree on how to protect their family.

NEXT targets Congresswoman Beatty again when Agent Shea Salazar seeks her help to stop it. Shea discovers a leak within her team, as Gina encounters trouble while trying to code the virus into an NSA server.

NEXT taunts LeBlanc with a new tactic relating to his illness and Shea and LeBlanc devise one last dangerous ploy to destroy NEXT, and save their lives, their families and the world.
