Agent Trace uncovers information about the agency's plan to destroy the narrows. In order to save someone he met while undercover, he gives up agency plans. Once the agency gets word, they send their top agent, Hugo, to hold Crystal hostage and defeat Trace once and for all.

After Hugo is defeated, Trace orders Crystal to leave the narrows and get to safety. One night, Trace requests that his friend Buck, a military scientist, meet up to explain the scenario. Buck informs him, that if the agency is now fully aware of Trace exposing the agency's plans, that they'll hunt him. Unknown to both of them, the agency sends out an agent to take him out.

Agent Trace is found by Agent Biaz. The two of them fight with Biaz being the victor. Before Biaz can end Trace. He is shot, allowing Trace to be saved. Trace wakes up the next morning, only to realize Buck is no longer going to help him.

Trace, now on his own, is forced to leave the narrows in order to survive the agency. On his way out of town, he spots a Crystal, someone he thought had left town. He tries to get her to leave with him but, is reunited with Hugo, who tells him that he paid Crystal to get to know him for the agency. Trace tries to escape with her but runs into more danger.

After Trace decided to use Genoprime, he sees the side effects and recruits Buck to take down the agency headquarters.

Trace recounts the rise of U71g and bails on the planned attack on the headquarters. Buck finds him and offers his help one last time.

Agent Biaz breaks into Trace's home and warns him of the danger to come. Trace ignores the warning and meets with Buck at the headquarters as they attempt to take down the building.

After Trace suffers a loss at the hands of Hugo, Commander Johnson reinstates Hugo as the leader of the mission. Trace continues his attempts only to be hunted and reunited with someone from his past.

After Maria reveals how she survived her attackers, she reveals she has clearance into the agencies main frame and they realize the Commander saw them coming.

After being attacked by an awoken agent, Trace leaves Maria to stop the agency once and for all. The Commander and Hugo are the only ones standing in his way of saving, The Narrows.
