Zhong Pei Pei and her husband, Zhang Da Qian, run a dating agency. They arrange a marriage in Singapore for a Vietnamese bride, Mei Fang Cao. Unexpectedly, she injures her fiance, Ah Zhong, and escapes. He confronts the agency and demands for compensation. Meanwhile, Pei Pei's brother, Shi Jie, has been bedridden for half a year since the accident so the Zhong family faces financial difficulties.
