When Craig decides to take a substitute music teacher job just to win over an ex, he ends up connecting with the students and the faculty.

Craig invites rock legend Neville Rex to speak to his class in hope of securing a record contract; Victoria advises the teachers on a good investment, but their spending gets out of hand.

Disgusted with Ben's sloppiness and lack of employment, Craig asks Jimmy to move in and share Ben's room; Supervisor Dalton asks Principal Taylor to watch his dog, Mr. Pickles.

In hope of spending some time with Victoria, Craig organizes a night out with the teachers; a job aptitude test inspires Jimmy to make a documentary film about Craig.

After learning he and Jimmy may lose their jobs due to budget cuts, Craig and the teachers plan a fundraiser; Samir wants to find a way to get out of the ''friend zone'' with Ashleigh; the students come up with a way to make money.

When Earth, Wind and Fire show up and invite Craig alone on a year-long tour, he must decide whether to leave his brother, co-workers and students behind; Samir sees Ashleigh at her other job.
