As the Oscar-nominated The Madness of King George opens, the film show talks to its screenwriter, Alan Bennett, about the art of transferring stageplays to the big screen. Directors Roman Polanski and Louis Malle reflect on their own recent experience of making film versions of successful plays. And, on the eve of Oscar night, Hugh Grant and screenwriter Richard Curtis look back on a highly successful year with the multi-nominated Four Weddings and a Funeral. Oliver Stone looks at the art of back projection. Plus how the Indian cinema industry remakes Hollywood blockbusters for its own market.
