Employees at a West Virginia security company receive a bewildering SOS call from their boss and are shocked to learn he's been shot and left to die in the mountains. His missing body causes police to question the web of lies that surround his death.

Barbara Lloyd, mother of two young children, is murdered in 1974 in a working class district of Buffalo New York. Her husband Galen 'Shorty' Lloyd will be a murder suspect, along with her brother in law Leon Rusty Chatt and her landlord. It will take Barbara's grown daughter Kim Lloyd to create the impetus to solve the murder almost 30 years later. A\In 2003, at the age of 33, Kim contacts the Buffalo Police to demand a report on the status of her mother's case given the latest developments in DNA identification.

Storyline On a beautiful Monday afternoon in August 1993, a boater in Chesapeake Bay finds a woman's body floating. The woman is Nancy Lynn Manni, 33 years old, an employee of the Seafarers Union. This murder will not be solved until the winter of 1997.
