Due to his insensitivity to spirits, photographer Kouhei Morioka is able to cross a psychic barrier into a long-deserted castle to investigate a girl he sees living there.

Hazuki's desire to enslave Kouhei centers around her need to break free of the castle confines; but, much to her frustration, he just won't succumb.

Kouhei helps Hazuki seek out her mother, whom she hasn't seen in a few years and who said they'd reunite back in Japan.

As another full moon rises, so does Hazuki's thirst for blood. Since Kouhei won't fulfill his role as her slave in this regard, she sets out to find another.

Elfriede appears, very determined to return Hazuki to Schwartz Quelle Castle, but Kouhei's role in Hazuki's life presents a problem and a curiosity.

The Midos head for their family home in Kyoto on a mission of mercy. There, a pair of twins betrothed to Seiji and Kouhei take an intense dislike to Hazuki.

Elfriede declares herself a rival of Hazuki for Kouhei's affections. Kouhei challenges Hazuki not to use her special powers on people.

Count von Kinkel comes to Japan to take back Hazuki himself, leaving Elfreida and what remains of Vigo to handle Grandpa Ryuuhei and Kouhei.

The count kidnaps Grandpa Ryuuhei to force the others into a confrontation where he tricks them into fighting one another. His mastery of light and illusion isn't his only weapon, as Kouhei finds out to his detriment.

Kouhei, Ryuuhei, Seiji, Hazuki and Elfriede ready for what they hope will be their final battle with the count.

Guilt over the outcome of battling the Count puts Hazuki in touch with Luna, leaving her a blended personality.

Full moon: time to feed. With Hazuki taking Kouhei's disdainful words to heart, Luna merges closer with Hazuki.

Hazuki's capacity for prolonged stillness inspires Kouhei to conduct an effective photo shoot.

To protect Hazuki further, Kouhei asks to be trained as a psychic fighter like the rest of his family, but Grandpa Ryuuhei strongly objects.

Eight months after the fire, Kouhei's developing abilities are tested at Yayoi's dojo.

As everyone visits Kouhei for Hazuki's once-a-month visit and feeding, Yayoi has a scuffle with the first of three servants from the Master.

Vampire foes finally invade the mountain retreat - a bad time for Kouhei, laid low with broken bones.

Having drunk Kouhei's blood, Arte becomes self-actualized and wants Kouhei for herself.

It's time Kouhei was let in on a family secret about himself.

Hearing about the Jagan, Jeda attacks. Hazuki must sip from Kouhei to join the fight at full strength, but he's become terrified of her.

To save her friends, Hazuki sadly agrees to return to the Master's castle, but her friends actively object, renewing the fight.

The big battle's been won but there's a full moon out, and every vampire near Kouhei wants a sip.
