A body lies on the moors, next to a legendary menhir.

Roubaix is host city to an exhibition of the work of Victor Maurin, one of the most famous sculptors of nearby Lille. A few hours prior to the launch of the event, one of the sculptures starts to bleed. The artist's corpse is found inside.

In Teahupoo, on the island of Tahiti, a man's mutilated body is discovered at the sacred temple of Oro. Sent to investigate, Lieutenant Mareva Umaga and Inspector Philippe Toussaint will have to trust one another to catch the murderer.

The corpse of the healer Rose Tournault has been found in her house and the police captain Anna Buisson will be in charge of the investigation.When she arrives at the house of the dead, she meets Eymeric Massoni who is looking at the corpse of his grandmother which is covered with white petals.Then he presents himself as the grandson of the victim and precises that the petals are those of the thorn apple (Datura stramonium).Some years ago a dam was build : a village and some hamlets were sunken and some families lost their houses.
