Jodi has been trying to get up the courage to tell Tess about being sisters, and has told the others that today is the day. But things don't go quite to plan thanks to Dave.

Alex and Fiona's engagement becomes official after a notice appears in the Gungellan Gazette. Fiona is delighted by what she naturally assumes is Alex's romantic gesture and so he takes credit for it, not telling her Harry placed it.

Stevie is trying to deal with the fact that Alex, now engaged to Fiona, will never be hers, but she's not coping with it at all. She ends up bringing home a very young guy for the night, which causes Tess to worry.

In the wake of the crop-dusting incident, Drovers has lost all its contracts for organic produce. With no cash flow, the bank gives Tess an ultimatum: come up with new contracts in 36 hours or the bank will take possession of the farm.

Jodi is stunned when Tess offers her half her share of Drovers Run. Tess feels that, as a McLeod, Jodi should have an equity in the family heritage, as well as sharing their current massive debt.

As Tess is slowly piecing her life together she receives a phone call that threatens to shatter it again. The Embassy in Argentina advises her that Nick's remains will be repatriated and she will need to make funeral arrangements.

Tess's excitement about Nick's return is tempered only by an underlying fear that it's all a dream. She finds it hard to believe that, just as she'd accepted he was never coming back, he will be here this very morning.

After a week back in Australia, Nick finds it hard to settle. Killarney has no need of him and so he sets his eyes on Wilgul once more, anxious to start up the cattle breeding program he never had the chance to realise in Argentina.

Driving flat out to escape from Tom, Rob and Jodi are forced to abandon their vehicle and flee into the scrub. As they scramble for safety, Tom shoots Rob, and only Jodi's courage may see them survive the daylight risk.

Dave's brother Patrick loses his sight in an unfortunate farming accident and must rely on Kate for help.

The Drovers girls are shocked to find Regan rattling through the homestead, desperate to speak with Tess. When she finds out Tess now lives in Argentina, she is shattered.

When Harry's stud ram is stolen, the Drovers women unmask an unlikely sheep rustler.

Jodi is driving back to Drovers Run when her mobile phone rings. For a split second, she takes her eyes off the road. She looks up again - but it's too late. She's unable to avoid a head-on collision with a ute.

As he prepares for his father's funeral, Alex is finding it difficult to compose a eulogy. What can he say in remembrance of a man who had so few redeeming characteristics?

Jodi's father Kevin makes an unexpected return to Drovers Run wanting to get back into his daughter's life. Jodi is thrilled at the opportunity, but not at having the task of telling him that she is not his daughter but Jack's.

It's the day before Alex's wedding to Fiona, and as if Stevie isn't feeling wretched enough, as bridesmaid, she's suddenly lumbered with looking after Fiona for the day.

Shooters have encroached on Drovers Run, leaving a trail of dead brumbies in their wake. A chance encounter with Riley, a handsome bushie encamped on the property, leads the girls to believe that he is the killer.

Fiona has returned from her honeymoon, leaving Alex to spend a few extra weeks with Nick in Argentina, to discover Sandra installed at Killarney. Sandra threatens to reveal Fiona's fake pregnancy to Alex.

The Drovers girls are excited-Jodi has won a new beef contract with Worthingtons; and Drovers Run is about to host the first Gungellan Fresh Cross Country Challenge.

When evidence begins to mount against Stevie, Kate starts to believe that she could be guilty of Harry Ryan's murder and must decide if she should go to the police with her suspicions.

Kate, who went to the police with her suspicions about Stevie's involvement in Harry's death, struggles to deal with the consequences of her actions.

The women of Drovers Run are determined to discover who killed Harry Ryan, and when Leo returns to the district and locks horns with Stevie she becomes convinced that he is the killer.

Fiona and Alex have vowed to try to make the marriage work. Keen to impress, Fiona pulls out all the stops, starting by organising a top QC for Stevie's defence.

Having received word that her trial date has been moved up, Stevie is kept busy during her last day at Drovers Run tying up loose ends.

Stevie's daughter, Rose, is coming to stay for a month, and it's the first time in two years since she has seen her. Stevie sees it as an opportunity to rebuild their relationship, but Rose sees it differently.

A chance roadside encounter with a seemingly reformed Leo sets Rose's heart a flutter. Rose decides to keep the ensuing romance a secret from her mother and arranges a series of clandestine meets with the much older Leo.

After Rose and Stevie enthusiastically prepare for dinner with Rose's "mystery man", the girls are horrified when they see who the date turns out to be.

Jodi has introduced Boer goats onto Drovers and wants to associate them with Gungellan Fresh. Phil Rakich is instantly opposed to the idea and bad mouths the animals to Jodi.

When Alex returns from the city with Fiona, Stevie fears he's changed his mind about leaving his wife. Alex promises he'll do the deed this afternoon and agrees to meet Stevie later.

Riley and Jodi find a brumby that escaped during the storm, but it is injured and Riley has no choice but to put it down. The incident uncovers more traumatic memories about Rob for Jodi.

Dave gets offered a research job in Africa for two years and although he's tempted, he convinces himself, and everyone else, that he's not interested.

Kate is rattled. Dave's imminent move to Africa has awoken old feelings and whenever she sees him now she lapses into daydreams of Dave declaring his love for her.
