An old man speaks of a golden city that lies within a devouring abyss somewhere in uncharted waters. One explorer may be the key to finding both.

Riko, Reg, and Nanachi continue exploring the Capital of the Unreturned while a mysterious being follows them.

Majikaja, a hollow living in the village, gives the group a tour around Ilblu: the Village of the Hollows.

The group splits up in hopes of exploring the village further. Each explorer has an intriguing encounter.

The children begin uncovering the village's secrets while searching for each other.

Riko searches for a way to get Nanachi back. Prushka's power is discovered.

The Ganja squad makes it to the 6th layer, but they quickly start running out of water. A child may prove to be the whole squad's salvation.

As the members of Ganja continue recovering, the origin of Ilblu Village is revealed.

Riko and her companions meet up with Reg, who carries an item that might help Nanachi's cause, but the group is interrupted before they can devise a plan.

The reckoning comes, but Reg is too kind and foolish to be a bystander.

The village's membrane has been breached, and through the gap floods chaos itself. But as attackers enter from without, aid comes from within.

Sacrifices are made to ensure that Reg, Riko, Nanachi and Faputa can escape the sixth layer as Vueko faces a horrible realization.
