Kate's promotion to superintendent is about to be announced when fellow registrar James makes a shock announcement and a disgruntled colleague threatens to expose a secret from her past.

In an attempt to save her job and relationship Kate is forced to make a big decision. She discovers shocking news about Kristina and Amir's wedding and learns that her daughter has missed school.

With Lucy's whereabouts unknown, a panic-stricken Kate and Rob call the police. Kate is mortified when an anonymous e-mail sends shock-waves through the registry office, with all eyes turning to Judy.

Kate is horrified to discover Judy has sent Rob a USB stick of the footage, but has he seen it? Meanwhile, the registrars prepare for the raid on Kristina and Amir's wedding.

After Rob's surprise marriage proposal, Kate finally has everything she thought she wanted - but in the cold light of morning, she's not so sure. At work new deceptions come to light.

When Rob finds the photos Kate had hidden, a series of secrets are revealed between the couple. As Kate faces the reality of her choices, at work they prepare for the sting to catch Marcia in the act.
