13-year-old Seymour discovers a fossilized seed which sprouts Junior, a talking carnivorous plant who has a profound affect on the boy's life.

Junior makes a man out of vegetables and enlists Seymour to help find a human brain. Meanwhile, Audrey decides to pursue a career repairing refrigerators.

Seymour and Junior attempt to build a time machine so Junior can return to the vegozoic age.

Seymour wants to win the science fair so he can meet his hero, Mightus Appalling, a famous scientist who lives up to his last name.

Seymour and Paine are cast as the leads in the community theater's newest production of "Our Town," which Junior has secretly revised. Meanwhile, Audrey's latest passion is working as a stagehand.

Junior falls in love with a Venus flytrap. Meanwhile, Audrey is picked by the reigning Fire Queen to appear in the Tournament of Hoses parade.

Audrey gets a job at a used shoe store. Meanwhile, Junior uses his vegetable magnetism on a pair of rubber-soled shoes to give Seymour the ability to fly.

Seymour goes trick-or-treating for the first time, Audrey becomes a telephone operator, and Junior uses his vegetable magnetism to steal all of the pumpkins in town so he can give them a proper burial.

A reaper shows Seymour a future where the Mushnicks own a yogurt shop, Paine is winning awards, and Seymour is a politician. Meanwhile, Junior dreams that he runs a hotel for flowers.

Seymour lands himself in the dentist's office while trying to cover for Junior. Meanwhile, two burglars attempt to rob the flower shop.

Annoyed because he can't walk around without feet, Junior stows away in Seymour's shoes. Meanwhile, Audrey becomes a sports reporter.

Junior gets up in arms when he and Seymour visit the forest and discover it's been cut down. Meanwhile, Paine gets a job as a paperboy.

Dr. Driller's sister becomes infatuated with Mr. Mushnik - because she thinks he's rich.
