Virginia Lemoncurd is an oblivious southern woman who dreams of having her own cooking show. After a failed attempt of filming with her exuberant husband Duke, he hires charismatic video producer Abe and his locally-sourced video team. Abe soon recognizes Virginia's lack of awareness of the world around her and understands this freelance gig might just have him in over his head.

Virginia invites her neighbor Brandi-Jo to help cook something exotic, but BJ and Duke seem a little pre-occupied by the town's favorite locally written Christian romance novels.

Virginia's aunt Patsycline Purvis stops by for a visit (and brings her new boyfriend, too) to make their family's favorite comfort dish. Abe finds himself with some one-on-one time with Aunt Pats and learns new things about Virginia's feud with Ellie Davis.

Duke invites over his sister, Rascal, to guest star on Virginia's show. Rascal's the family prankster, but her Specialty Sweet Tea puts everyone in a good mood. Rascal brings over her rambunctious son, Boomer Jr., and when things in the kitchen don't go as planned, Rascal and Boomer Jr. team up to wreak their signature mayhem around the house.

Ellie and Everett Davis, two of Middleburg's favorite residents (and baptist choir members), stop by the Lemoncurd residence to pick up Duke. When Ellie, Virginia's childhood bully, uses the cooking show platform to her advantage, Virginia confronts Abe about the situation.

Virginia's cooking videos are officially uploaded online, and the Lemoncurds are throwing a celebration. But when the night becomes full of unexpected turns, uninvited guests, and a secret is revealed, this launch party becomes a night not soon forgotten.
