After learning that Malivore has taken over Landon's body, Hope and the squad come up with a risky plan to rescue Landon; an impromptu date with Finch brings up a subject that Josie is not ready to talk about.

Hope has to relinquish control and allow Josie and the Super Squad to enact a risky plan that could save Landon. Landon and Cleo meet in Malivore's darkness and learn more about one another. Meanwhile, Lizzie, Kaleb and Ethan volunteer together, and all does not go according to plan.

Hope realises she has a difficult choice to make, much to Alaric's disapproval. Kaleb and MG come up with their own plan to help Hope as Hope seeks help from Josie and Lizzie. Meanwhile, Alaric realises he needs to relinquish control.

Hope wrestles with her reality. Alaric entrusts the Super Squad to work together. Cleo confides in Landon. Meanwhile, MG divulges some important information to Lizzie and Finch sees a different side to Josie.

Hope is tracked down by the one person that could help her - Rebekah Mikaelson. Rebekah is fearful of what path Hope has chosen but makes every effort to get through to her. Josie and Lizzie hold out hope in a seemingly dire situation as MG figures out what he can do to help. Meanwhile, Kaleb wants to set things right and turns to Cleo for advice.

Josie and Lizzie search for answers which leads Lizzie to uncover a dangerous plan. Cleo works on tracking down Hope, who does not want to be found.

The Super Squad continues to work on helping Hope, much to her dismay. MG makes a last-ditch effort at helping the Super Squad, but things do not go as he had planned.

Hope finds herself on a dangerous undertaking. Josie goes deep for answers as Lizzie asks Cleo for inspiration and is surprised as to where she finds it. Meanwhile, Landon continues his mission for peace.

Hope finds herself involved in a game of cat and mouse as Lizzie sets out to make things right. Josie has a heart-to-heart with Finch. Alaric, Landon, and Ted get a surprising result from their quest.

Cleo, MG and Jed work together on an unusual mission. Alaric, Landon, and Ted figure out what is next for them. Meanwhile, an unexpected source takes Hope by surprise. Also appearing Lizzie, Kaleb, and Ethan.

Hope and Lizzie find themselves at a carnival with an unusual cast of characters. Back at the Salvatore School, students are speaking their minds, without knowing why, which makes Jed reveal a secret and Cleo works on protecting one of their own. Meanwhile, Kaleb and MG set out on a mission, which does not go as planned. Also appearing Alaric, Landon, and Ethan.

As Aurora continues her research, she finds information that could prove very useful. Hope commands Lizzie to do things, with surprising results ensuing. Alaric, Landon and Ted work together to devise how to best use their wishes.

Lizzie continues on her quest, with mixed results. Ben reveals more about his family and its history and Jed finds his feelings deepening. Meanwhile, the Salvatore School students comes together to celebrate one of their own.

The Super Squad rallies together to test their abilities, with help from Vardemus. Hope experiences some vivid dream, causing some mixed emotions. Meanwhile, Landon continues on his quest for peace.

Hope continues to be swirled in confusion and fighting her humanity, which results in her seeing the people who mean the most to her: Rebekah, Marcel, Kol, and Freya. Kaleb wants to introduce Cleo to his world, including those who had the most profound influence on his path. Meanwhile, Lizzie devises a plan to get in someone's good graces.

Humanity Hope is back in the present and fighting her dark side, Lizzie comes to help her set dark Hope free. Jen stated to the squad that Clio is an oracle who can see the future and nothing they can do can change what is happening Clio confronts Jen who has fled the school after Ken arrives declaring nobody will be harmed if his daughter is handed over, if she is not, he will kill everyone. Hope and Lizzie attempt to defend the school against Ken and they all battle, while this is happening Landon is in limbo as he and the Necromancer find out who their kidnapper is...

Landon's groove is in limbo, another surprise awaits. Hope does some deep soul searching. MG finally divulges a long-kept secret, Ethan still struggles and Lizzie steps in to help. Meanwhile, Alaric's precarious plan is put into action.

Alaric briefs the Super Squad on what comes next. Hope has a heart-to-heart with Lizzie. MG helps Ethan. Cleo continues to test her new powers and figure out her purpose. Meanwhile, Landon takes on a new role.

Hope presents a challenge to Ken, which he has to accept. Cleo is set on revenge. The Super Squad prepares for the battle of their lives. Meanwhile, Landon has some unexpected visitors.

Hope, Lizzie, MG, Kaleb, Jed, Cleo, and Alaric reflect on recent events and what comes next for each of them. Hope and Lizzie each find solace from unexpected yet welcome sources.
