Ana and Lucía disappear from Monteperdido while leaving school. Five years later, one of the girls reappear; she's suffered a traffic accident.

Tennant Santiago Baín and inspector Sara Campos know they're at Ana's hands. However, Ana's testimony barely provides them new information.

The Civil Guard arrests the case's first suspect, which is not well-received at Monteperdido. The townsfolk feel suspicious.

Baín and Campos are managing to put together the years of Ana and Lucía's kidnapping. They get increasingly closer to the kidnapper.

Campos finds a clue that gets her closer to Lucía. The facts are increasingly evident: the kidnapper likes among the inhabitants of Monteperdido.

Lucía's parents have increasingly less hope of finding their daughter alive. The townsfolk see how their secrets are brought to light.

While the search to find Ana is organized, Campos finally understands the awful truth of what happened in the years of the kidnapping.

The truth comes to light and the lives of Monteperdido's inhabitants are changed forever. Campos refuses to leave Monteperdido without finding Lucía.
