Trappers face disastrous breakdowns and personal setbacks that threaten their ability to catch fur - forcing them to make tough decisions to overcome the odds.

In the dead of winter, Trappers fight off predators, risk crossing thin ice and break through dense forests to regain lost time and get more fur.

Winter makes an unexpected retreat as a warming Chinook raises temperatures, melts ice and brings winter bears out of hiding - putting trappers' lives at risk.

More than halfway through a brutal winter, hungry wolves and foxes are raiding traps- setting in motion a cat-and-mouse game between bushwhacked trappers and their prey.

After three tough months in the wilds, Trappers' stamina and food supply has run thin - forcing them to decide whether to pull out of the bush early - or pull out all the stops.

It's crunch time: with only weeks left in the season, Trappers gamble on new terrain - racing against the clock to catch fur before spring closes in.

When an early thaw threatens to strand trappers in the bush, they scramble to stay ahead of the spring melt - and finish their season on top.
