The first in the "Insomniac" series - far darker tales that delve into the cavalcade of human depravity - we travel to Ukiah, California. October 1968 to examine a horrific triple-murder cold case known as, "The Ukiah Murders," or "The Ukiah Strangler".

Niall Madden joins Zevon for an exploration of Mendocino County and the Kinda Murdery history of Fort Bragg, CA. First up, "The Con Man and the Dutchman," OR, as Niall calls it, "SlickDandyDooda. Host Zevon Odelberg tells you a tale of maniacal violence, as told in the Ferndale Enterprise, on Saturday, August 15, 1885, in Blue Lake, in Humboldt County, in the Emerald Triangle. We examine a terrible murder committed by Henry M. Benner, better known as the "Blue Lake Brute."

Leslie Fear from "Because I Wanna Know with Leslie Fear," joins Zevon for an exploration of Humboldt County and the Kinda Murdery history of Eureka, California. First up, "The Railroading of Jack Donnelley." Next, Leslie shares her Kinda Murdery experience with "Patrick Bateman and the Napa Mud Baths," and then it's back to The Emerald Triangle and the headwaters ghost town of Falk, California. for "The Felonious Finn, or "FILE AND DIE!"

Divulged by an old newspaper from Red Bluff, California, we travel to the town of Hayfork, on Saturday, January 18, 1908, to investigate the mysterious murder of bosom buddies 71-year-old Joseph Bebeau and 60-year-old Fred Holmes in "The Hayfork Homicides".

Horror Director, Chris Peckover (Better Watch Out, Undocumented, Upcoming Chris Peckover Project) joins Zevon for Kinda Murdery's return to the Trinity County seat of Weaverville, California. Isabella Martin was the Babe Ruth of murdery demon people. In one of the darkest stories yet, we travel to Fort Bragg, Mendocino County, California, circa 1929, to investigate the stomach-churning tale of the "Fort Bragg Forest Fiend" - Thomas Lehew - and the heinous murder of seven-year-old Theresa Johnson.

We travel further north, to Portland, Oregon, circa Wednesday, October 30th, 1991, to bear witness to the horrifying, stomach-churning short tale of the "Callous Casanova", twenty-seven-year-old sexual predator Alberto Gonzalez, who infected dozens of partners with AIDS.

Violent Teens from McKinleyville, CA: We start with a short anecdote from Zevon's own life, then it's back to 1914 for "The Horrible Truth about Hans." Next, Niall tells us about the unique way that Canadian Law Enforcement is attempting to discourage the, "Freedom Truckers."

We travel three decades back, to Hawkin's Bar in Weaverville of Trinity County and Arcata of Humboldt County, California, in 1991, to remember the brutal beating, torture and murder of a small disabled homeless man named named Gary "Hop" Summar.
