When we meet the despondent and eccentric King of Shikharwati, he is living alone in the large palace with his trusted advisor Mishraji and a lean staff who are at the mercy of his idiosyncrasies. Alarm bells ring when King's lawyer Mr. Guleria comes bearing a Government notice to pay retrospective wealth tax of a whopping Rs 32 crore or give up the palace. The episode opens in the past. We get to know why the daughters reacted angrily at the mention of the competition.
