5 years later, Karan returns to being a superstar but has become bitter and hateful towards Tripura. Tripura returns to Mumbai with her and Karan's daughter Pia and her friend Ved. Further, Karan spots Tripura and her family on the road.

Karan and Tripura's past begins to unfold. Tripura chides Ved for not being careful and people misunderstanding their relationship. The family comes across Karan in the mall and an unaware Karan ends up interacting with his daughter Pia.

Tripura fears Karan learning about Pia. Karan gathers information about Tripura's family. Ved arrives at Karan's house with the police to arrest him on molestation charges.

Zoya tries to convince Karan to take the charges seriously. She wants Tripura to be by his side to build his image. She tracks Tripura down, who refuses her proposal. But Zoya notices an important detail. Soon, Pia learns the truth.

Ved successfully gets a media gag order. Karan gets upset on learning that Zoya had approached Tripura. Things get complicated after a video gets leaked. Zoya suggests Karan to use Pia. Soon, Karan threatens Tripura with a custody battle.

Karan's press conference leaves everyone stunned, especially Ved. The events which led to Karan and Tripura's separation are revealed. Later, Karan arrives at Tripura's doorstep.

Karan forces Tripura to move in with him along with Pia. Tripura doesn't confide in Ved about her decision. Karan's lawyer files a defamation case against Sanam. Karan loses control when he sees Ved outside his house with Tripura.

Tripura is forced to live in Karan's bedroom. She later reminds Karan about the deal between them. Meanwhile, Ved becomes doubtful of Sanam. Karan threatens the staff of Pia's school and prevents her from getting suspended.

Tripura and Ved recall the circumstances that led to them becoming friends. Later, Ved gets some information and makes an arrest, while Romila spies on Sanam. A spat with Karan leaves Tripura upset.

Romila tells Tripura about her suspicions. Ved comes to have dinner with Tripura and her family and Karan interrupts. Later, a confrontation between Ved and Karan ensues and Ved blames Karan for his and Tripura's separation.

A drunk Karan spills his feelings before Tripura. Tripura meets Ved and asks him to help her save Karan. While Karan throws a belated birthday party for Pia, Ved meets Romila. Later, Sanam questions Ved's relationship with Tripura.

Ved professes his love to Tripura. Karan overhears their conversation and becomes upset. A conversation with Trisha adds to Karan's misery. Later he receives the DNA test's report.

Karan confronts Tripura over Pia's paternity. Later, Karan goes to meet Sanam. When Sanam is found dead, Karan confesses to killing her. Tripura goes to meet Karan at the police station and urges him to fight for justice.
