Bjørn is 13 years old and also not excited about Christmas this year. He does not even bother to go to the school's Christmas graduation with his Christmas-crazy little sister Gro. Their father does business with the scary candy cane, but it ends badly and the family gets into trouble. For the Christmas party, the music plays, and Bjørn suddenly can not control his body. Is it just puberty that is at stake?

Bjørn and Gro wake up in the attic and discover what a mysterious place they have ended up in. Dad steals food in the kitchen and does everything he can to keep them from being discovered. Gro and Bjørn explore the theater, and they bump into a mysterious ballet girl.

Gro has the new tune on his mind and is trying to figure out what it wants. Bjørn catches sight of the long hair in his ear and is terrified. What's going on with him? Dad has new plans to make money. But everything goes wrong when Bjørn bumps into the Ballet Master, who confuses Bjørn with the new student at the school.

Frede has found the family living in the attic and is blackmailing Bjørn. If he wont stay Vincent, then she will expose them. Frede is behind on the ballet training and Janni pushes her hard to do her best, when Bjørn decides to help out. Gro is selling Christmas bunnies at the elderly home, and Grandma is very interested in hearing about Bjørns weird dance movements.

What!. More hair in Bjørn's ear. Bjørn thinks it's embarrassing, and Dad talking about puberty only makes it worse. Frede has to do extra practice in the weekend, and Bjørn is trying to help her. Meanwhile Gro visits Grandma again to tell about Bjørns ear hair. What can it mean? Dad is depressed, but suddenly he has a great idea. Grandma makes an unannounced visit to the attic, and Bjørn is frightened about was she wants.

Bjørn is certain that there is something wrong with him and visits the schools doctor. But the doctor is skeptical towards Bjørn. Dad starts cooking his new idea in the kitchen, while Gro is out selling Christmas bunnies and meets a new friend on her way. Frede and Bjørn have a fight and it ends with a battle of life and death.

Bjørn is getting a scan of his leg and is worried, that everyone will find out that he is only pretending to be Vincent. Gro is set to help out Dad and gets help from her new friend Santa, that takes her to the most christmassy place, that she knows. Frede and Bjørn get closer to each other. The Ballet master is loving Dads Christmas snack gløggæbleskiver, but they are definitely not for children.

Bjørn doesn't believe that Gro can make Dad go on a date, but Gro has her own plan. Bjørn and Frede must do their challenges from yesterday. Frede has to dance ind her pointe shoes, and Bjørn has to get his hair cut by Grandma. But Frede fails during the ballet practice, and suddenly Bjørn finds himself on the dance floor. Has he completely lost his mind? Grandma is weirder than normal, and Bjørn finally learns, why all these mysterious things are happening to him.

At the ballet school the Ballet Master is handling the practice. He has invented a new character for the Nutcracker ballet, but what is his idea exactly? Bjørn learns more about elfs, but he still won't accept his new self. Dad is on several dates and has a tasting ready for all. Frede is tired of all the attention towards fake Vincent, but that might soon be over.

Bjørn's scam has been discovered. But Frede has a plan to convince every one, that he really is Vincent. They are going to make a fake Instagram profile with ballet pictures, and Bjørn has to get into a tight prince costume. Gradma is worried about Bjørn, so Gro takes her on a sleigh ride to cheer her up. Grandma gives Gro a real insight to the magic of elfs. In the meantime sweet music arises between Bjørn and Frede.

Gro knows Bjørn's big secret and she wants him to take his inner elf serious. But Bjørn would rather be Vincent. The fake pictures have worked, but Frede is still annoyed about all the attention, that Bjørn is getting. Dad is working hard to finish his gløggæbleskiver, but is his colleague Ulrik trying to sabotage the plan?

Finally it is audition day and Frede is practicing her dance. Meanwhile Bjørn and Gro visit Grandma to get a handle on Bjørn's elf powers. But Grandma is skeptical and won't help Bjørn. So he takes matters into his own hands, but is he ready? Dad finds out, that Ulrik has stolen his idea, but maybe they can make a deal. Frede is ready for her audition, when Bjørns ego suddenly steals all the attention and ruins everything.

Frede went home to Kagerup, but is her family at all happy to see her? Signe is going to be the Santa Lucia and Frede wants to help, but Signe would rather make her own decisions. Bjørn, Gro and Dad have followed to Kagerup and Dad created a great plan for Bjørn to win back Frede. But Bjørn does not seem convinced that it will work.

Bjørn and Frede are on an adventure in an old cabin in the woods and wants to learn how to survive. Meanwhile Dad and Gro are looking for Bjørn at Frede's parents', but Gro is more interested in Grandmas cassette tape. Bjørn's secret is showing new sides. And when they play Truth or Dare, Frede suddenly says Truth, and that put Bjørn in a dilemma.

Frede is gone and Bjørn goes back to Dad and Gro. Bjørn has had enough of Dad talking about team spirit. Enough is enough. Gro is obsessed with the cassette tape and Grandma's melody and is looking for it at the theatre. Bjørn is tired of secrets and decides to tell the truth. But he might not be the only one with secrets at the theatre?

Frede might get kicked out of the ballet school and has to show her worth. Meanwhile the real Vincent is arriving at the school and is introduced to the class. The family think that they can finally move back home, but first Dad has to deal with Slikpinden. Bjørn's friends are happy to see him again, but the elf inside him is teasing him.

Bjørn is disappearing and asks Grandma for help. Grandma takes Bjørn into her own elf school and teaches him how to use his ears to help any living being. The Balletmaster is meanwhile holding down his body's movements and tries to get the school back on track. Vincent gets an assignment and is getting to know Frede better. Gro is taking a sick day - her ear hurts. Bjørn comes home to tell her about elf school. All she wants is to be an elf.

Gro discovers what has happened during the night and screams of joy. But Bjørn has enough problems - he must do his elf practice. He clearly hears a heartbeat, but where does it come from? Frede and Vincent are rehearsing for Frede's new entrance exam, when Bjørn gets into trouble and must ignore Grandma's instructions not to wear the elf hat.

Bjørn's teacher calls Dad and wants to know if everything is okay. Dad insists that everything is normal. Gro is frustrated and starts her elf practice on her own. Bjørn is practicing his elf powers, but everything is drowned by the sound of Frede's heartbeat. Frede is practicing with Vincent, and Bjørn is hit by jealousy.

Bjørn has stolen Grandma's herbal mixture and is hiding at the theatre. Frede is nervously getting ready for her entrance exam, but ignorantly Bjørn ruins it all. Yet again he must ignore Grandma's instructions not to wear the elf hat, to help Frede with her exam. Grandma looks for Bjørn and tells him about the dark side of the elf hat.

Bjørn is extra christmassy, but he has to hurry, if he has to be a true elf before Christmas. Grandma tells Bjørn about his mom, and Bjørn feels how he misses her. Dad is nervous about the meeting with Bjørn's teacher and doesn't listen to Bjørn, but luckily they get help from an unexpected friend. Gro wants her own elf hat, and in her enthusiasm she makes a decision, that will have great consequences.

Bjørn wakes up feeling weird. Where is Gro? Bjørn and Frede look for her in the attic, but they are fooled. Now they have to be smart to get Gro back home safely. Dad is out to buy Christmas presents and has unexpected company by Santa. But when Slikpinden is threatening to take Dad's dearest belonging, Dad makes a drastic decision.

Gro is in danger, and Bjørn and Frede are trying to save her. But nothing is easy with an angry Balletmaster right behind you and a packed theatre hall. And on top Frede's plan is not near as discrete as Bjørn wishes. Bjørn has to overcome himself to find his true, inner elf and save them all.

To be an elf is to be a helper. But Bjørn is frustrated. Is he a true elf? Bjørn wants to find Frede and runs towards the Christmas celebration at the ballet school, but he his not the only one declaring his love. While the romance blooms, more secrets are revealed. But Christmas Eve is here, and the family needs help from someone unexpected to make Christmas a true hit.
