While cleaning a television studio late one night, janitor Ernest P. Duckweather accidentally makes contact with the planet Jupiter and becomes long-distance friends with two of the residents, Johnny Jupiter and B-12, a robot.

Johnny and Mr. Duckweather discuss the differences between television on Jupiter and Earth.

Mr. Duckweather is invited to appear on a Jupiter television program, but first there are endless rehearsals.

Duckweather becomes a newscaster for a Jupiterian television station.

Mr. Duckweather tries to cheer up a young actress who is devastated after losing a part after her audition.

Johnny and Mr. Duckweather compare educational systems on Earth and Jupiter.

Mr. Duckweather seeks Johnny's assistance when he is runs afoul of a card sharp.

Spring fever effects Duckweather and his pals on Jupiter differently.

Johnny tries to teach Mr. Duckweather how to become a Jupiter-style detective.

Mr. Duckweather informs Johnny that 3-D movies are all the rage on Earth. Johnny tells his Earth friend that Jupiter used to show movies in seven dimension, but now prefer to watch them in only one.

Johnny and his cohorts on Jupiter agree to help Duckweather prepare a sailor friend to win a quiz show contest.
