In Raloo, an escaped monkey causes mayhem and Piggley determines to bring the "gorilla" back alive; Sean doesn't believe Seamus can make 10 baskets in a row; Wiley loses the sheep.

Grandpa recalls the first time he got a book without pictures; Piggley imagines himself as the hero in the story he is reading.

The Raloo Rockers need to work hard so they can go to Dublin to audition for Uncle Buck's Variety Express.

Captain Cumara is going to give Ferny a pet, but doesn't know what kind; as the kids wait for it to arrive, they imagine all the exotic animals that it could be.

Sean is frustrated that his mother takes over his jigsaw puzzle; Piggley, Dannan and Ferny plan their boats for the Raloo Stream Boat Race; Shirley seeks Wiley's help in shooing a pesky bird.

Piggley is disappointed when his father can't afford to get him a new snow sled for his birthday, but he learns the best gifts are those from the heart.

When Piggley's substitute teacher assigns them to write a two-page true story, he doesn't take it seriously. After all, storytelling comes easy to him, so he can do the work the last minute.

Seamus gets Meg's goat; Hector steals Dannan's book in the orchard with unexpected results; Shirley gets in the way of Wiley's big announcement.

Grandpa Piggley recounts the story of the time he, Dannan and Ferny got lost at sea, and were subsequently stranded on a remote island. With only their wits and ingenuity to aid them, the trio contend with the hostile wilderness.

Dannan is thrilled when the children are invited to a big party hosted by Mr McGandry for his cousin, the Ambassador to Denmark, but Piggley's lack of social graces almost ruins the day.

Grown-up Aunt Molly sends Meg drawings she did when she was five-years-old. These drawings give a different slant to some of Grandpa Piggley's stories and reveal the strong influence Piggley had on his younger sister.
