Two cousins who seem destined to marry each other find that fate has another plan in store for them when unforeseen circumstances arise.

With Maimona's health in jeopardy, her brother Baseerat steps in to help make decisions, including those affecting the future of his niece, Khirad.

While Ashar and Khirad disagree with Baseerat's decision, Khirad decides to honor her mother's last wish. Meanwhile, Sara becomes despondent.

Khirad reluctantly moves from the guest bedroom to Ashar's. Sara stays close to Ashar, hoping to change his mind, a tactic her mother disapproves of.

The couple's relationship takes a turn for the better after Ashar overhears Khirad confessing her feelings of shame and inferiority to Baseerat.

At Ashar's urging, Khirad gradually shares her opinions and interests with him. Sara invents an emergency to get Ashar's attention and sympathy.

A minor domestic incident shows Ashar that Khirad is incapable of telling a lie for very long. Party host Sara makes Khirad feel out of place.

A health crisis prompts a heart-to-heart talk between father and son. Khirad returns to school, where she catches a classmate's eye.

When misfortune befalls Khizar, Khirad finds herself among the few who can help him. Ashar becomes jealous of Khizar's attentiveness toward Khirad.

Ashar worries he's too boring for Khirad. Khirad wants to share a surprise with Ashar, but he's acting distant. Khizar reveals his feelings to Sara.

A seemingly simple mishap in the kitchen leads to a monumental misunderstanding between Khirad and Ashar, and a rift in their marriage and family.

With nowhere else to turn, Khirad seeks refuge with her mother's sister in Hyderabad, although Ashar is told a different story by his mother.

Sara assures Khizar she'll wait for him, then sets out to win Ashar's heart by nursing his broken one. Khirad is stunned when Ashar refuses her calls.

Khirad's heart turns against Ashar after he renounces her at a critical moment. Sara struggles to make progress in her relationship with Ashar.

The special needs of her child force Khirad to pay a visit to Ashar's office. A spontaneous show of affection touches Ashar's heart, but pains it too.

After asking for Ashar's help, Khirad gets more than she bargained for. Despite trying for more than four years, Sara still hopes to win Ashar's love.

Khirad and Ashar make it clear to each other that their living arrangement is only temporary. Sara discovers Ashar's secret during a chance encounter.

Khirad makes a difficult decision about Hareem's future. Ashar's mother returns home from her trip and delivers an ultimatum to her son.

Hareem asks about her parents' wedding, and later admits a concern to her father. Khizar calls Sara to tell her he's coming back to marry her.

Ashar issues a heartfelt request to Sara. Sara realizes Farida used her. Shared worry during Hareem's surgery softens Ashar and Khirad's interactions.

Ashar questions why he feels so ready to forgive Khirad. Khizar threatens to expose Farida if she doesn't convince Sara to marry him.

Khirad makes her sacrifice. Khizar visits Ashar's office. Sara's mother suggests a fresh start. Ashar finds the message Khirad wrote four years ago.

Ashar brings Khirad back to his home. When Farida confronts her, he denounces his mother's character and grieves for ever having doubted Khirad's.
