The Rantanen family lives a hectic life in the big city. Dad Roger gets enough and impulse buys a hotel in the country. The family kicks off and looks forward to their new life as hotel owners.

The Rantanen family moves into the hotel they bought and is full of anticipation for the invasion of guests. Ingo tries the math elevator and scares the neighbor Jönsson.

It is empty in the fridge and Ritva goes to the country store, which just closes forever. Ritva finds out about the new motorway and Ingo meets Pyret.

The hotel's kitchen has had a nightly visit by Pyret and the food continues to disappear. The hotel gets its first guest. However, it is not a completely ordinary guest.

The hotel has finally received a guest, Gudrun Wallraff. Unfortunately, there is no food to serve because all the food disappears and the family has no money to buy new.

Pyret continues to eat the hotel's food and the only guest becomes increasingly hungry. Ritva gets a desperate idea and launches Finnish Evening. The hotel guest also receives an unexpected visit to the room.

The local newspaper writes a nasty article about the Rantanen family's hotel, which now also does not have indoor heating. How are they ever going to get any more guests?

The Rantanen family has no money, no food and no heat in the hotel. Tony shows a treasure to Isadora. In addition, new guests are on the way. Guests who need absolute peace and quiet.

The hotel is finally fully booked by a group of guests who want it quiet and peaceful. But they do not want it cold and yet the hotel has no heat. Roger gets an idea of how to raise money.

Is it haunting the hotel? In any case, that's what the worried guests think. It is very difficult to get it quiet and peaceful at the Rantanen family's hotel.

The guests are tired after the night's haunting. They get a quiet day with fishing rods on the pier. Coal is delivered to the hotel and it finally gets hot again. But say the calm that lasts.

After Roger inadvertently scared away the hotel's nervous guests, it's empty again. But with Grossmans, it's full. So full that they do not have room for all guests.

The new guests, Rolf and Rudolf, are quite shady. What are they looking for? And will there really be a dump right at Hotell Gyllene Orren? In addition, Rogers' old colleague Lennart comes to the hotel.

Roger and Rudolf continue their shady activities in and around the hotel. Are they perhaps looking for a place to build the municipality's new landfill?

The bank wants money so now it is urgent for the Rantanen family to get more guests. Roger and Ritva try to find out what Rolf and Rudolf are doing.

Rolf and Rudolf are thus archaeologists and dig for a treasure. Can it save the Rantanen family from their money worries? The bank wants its money otherwise the hotel must be closed.

Ingo trains Pyret to find buried food. Rolf and Rudolf dig for the treasure far too slowly so Roger and Ritva help even though they do not get it.

Pyret has become really good at finding buried things. At least scrap. Rolf and Rudolf leave the hotel and Roger gets a bright idea. Hotel Gyllene Knorren will have the best Christmas table in the area.

The promised Christmas table must be quickly swung together so that the new guests are satisfied. The only question is where the food should come from.

Tony has arranged herring for Rantanen's Christmas table. Now only the rest is left. The new guests have invited their entire family. In addition, the family receives a visit from the municipality, and an offer that makes Ritva very angry.

Ritva's nice Christmas table went nowhere because of Pyret and the Jeppsson family leaving the hotel. The hotel is empty again and the Rantanen family is without money.

Rogers' half-price campaign only attracted Lennart. And a guest does not make much money. The situation for the Rantanen family is desperate. Do they have to move back to town?

Roger and Ritva have decided to sell the hotel to the municipality. Then Tony gets an idea that makes Grossman's guests wet. Suddenly Hotell Gyllene Knorren receives lots of guests.

Has the Rantanen family really given up and sold the hotel to the municipality? Unexpected help comes from all possible and impossible places. Maybe, maybe, there is hope after all.
