The sudden arrival of Detective Leila Hussain shakes up Port Devine, but only Inspector Finn O'Hare knows the real reason Leila's been transferred.

When a burglar claims he saw a dead woman in a farmhouse, Leila and Finn call on elderly couple Gerard and Brenda Smith.

As Leila waits to hear if Callum has blown her cover, taxi-driver Barry drives into a young woman who flees the scene of the accident.

Lovestruck Callum is jealous of Leila's handsome 'friend'. Finn has more serious concerns, convinced the visitor is here to do Leila serious harm - and she's gone missing.

It's Clint and Nicole's wedding day, but best man Finn and bridesmaid Leila are busy investigating the theft of some much loved 'therapy sheep'. Finn's 15-year-old daughter Niamh is back for the wedding.

An arson attack at the home of retired judge Ginette Prince leads the police to suspect revenge for one of the many criminals she sent to prison over the years. However, Leila soon discovers a much more simple explanation - which has far-reaching and dangerous consequences for one local woman. Meanwhile, Finn and Leila's secret romance is tested when Siobhan forms an unlikely alliance with arch-enemy Concepta.

Local chef Fergus is attacked by a mugger but Concepta sees the culprit and is sure he works at the golf club. Marlene and Callum pay the club a visit and find Eddie McNulty sporting fresh injuries, and CCTV soon confirms he is their man. Leila is confused by Finn's off reaction to the suspect - until she discovers that Eddie once had an affair with Finn's wife Siobhan. But when she goes to arrest him, she gets an even bigger surprise.

Finn and ex-lover Leila are thrown together again when his daughter Niamh goes missing. The concerned dad is taken aback when Siobhan reveals that Niamh had an older boyfriend back in Belfast - has she gone to see him? The stakes are raised when Callum finds CCTV of Niamh being taken away in a van - it looks like she was abducted on the way from her friend's house.

Finn and Siobhan become close in the midst of a family crisis

Close to the honoring of Barry for his fundraising for the local hospital, Marlene's long gone sister and Barry's stepdaughter Lil shows up in the bar. At the same time they apprehend a stripper on the beach who turned out to be a guy robbed of his clothing, car and phone by his girlfriend which he met on a dating site. Marlene's colleague also found a girlfriend on a dating site. Finn's wife still doesn't come clear why she so desperate want's her familie back and makes a runner when she founds out Ginn is involved with Leila.
