Year 150 BC. The war against Carthage is still on. Rome controls half of Hispania, the old name for the peninsula formed by Spain and Portugal. An army commanded by the praetor Galba is responsible for protecting the new territory. He also has been ordered to keep peace with the local tribes, but the behavior of the legionnaires has not been always cordial and peaceful. Different towns and villages have suffered the harassment and violence of the Roman soldiers. A humble and brave shepherd, called Viriato, lives in the village of Caura, in the region of Lusitania. ...

Hispanic slaves held by the Romans will be immediately transferred to be sold to the highest bidder. The news reaches Viriato and his people.

Viriato and the rebels begin their guerrilla war. His first movement: sabotage the Roman camp and manage to leave them without supplies. But Galba does not sit idly by. While the rebels act, a threat looms over the rebel leader.

Viriato, aware that they need more men to face Rome, sends Paulo and Darío to find allies to other nearby towns, although their mission is more complicated than it seemed at first .

Viriato for longer, decides to end her commitment to Alejo, but the Hispanic woman finds herself in a new danger that makes her doubt her options with the man she loves.

Galba falls seriously ill. His illness alters everyone in the camp. Marco, now in command, desperately seeks a cure, but the remedy poses a great risk. Only one person can cure it and it is from Caura.

Galba has the opportunity to definitely crush the rebellion. Leukon, a ruthless gladiator, infiltrates the rebel group with a single goal:
