Terry returns to his caravan from a long swim and finds his world's been turned upside down. He find solace (or lack of) at the local cafe.

Terry finds himself a new job and makes a new friend. The job and friend aren't what they seem.

Terry gets a surprise visit from his wife and daughter. He's left with a gift that he's ill-equipped to handle.

Terry entertains a woman in his neck of the woods but bumps into another woman from his neck of the woods.

Terry returns home to find his house has been ransacked and a visitor is there to make an offer he can't refuse.

With his future set for him, Terry decides to go down fighting, or at least in a flaming heap.

Being back on the road is everything Terry thought it would be, and twice as bad. He catches up with old friends.

Back home in Piha, Terry gets a lecture from his daughter and finally comes to a realization.
