The Vlecks spend a night at the Bar None while their sewer line gets repaired.

While Melody sets up "Christmas in July" with Danny, Buddy, and Jake, Brad visits a ranch that helps handicapped kids.

When Sheriff Cody asks Mr. Ernst to temporarily fill in as sheriff for the area, Mr. Ernst quickly lets it get to his head and soon takes his new responsibility far too seriously.

Danny creates a comic strip based on the Bar None for the local paper. Feelings get hurt when his co-workers see the characters are based on themselves.

Bar None's insurance agent insists on all employees having a lifesaving certificate in order to keep the pool open. Brad's fear of the pool could be catastrophic for the Bar None - or she could end up losing her job.
