Martin is commissioned by the council to build a Bicentennial monument.

Dad is having trouble holding on to anything he owns - keys, chairs and sanity. Meanwhile, Jenny has insisted that Dad and Betty come to her parent teacher night.

Simon is jealous of Debbie doing a soft drink commercial, and Nudge decides to manage her. Meanwhile, Dad and Simon are not impressed with Jenn's unfeminine behaviour.

Dad is very sore after losing at tennis; Jenny is very down about boys; and Debbie is very late.

Nudge believes he is adopted and Betty develops a new typing system that causes chaos.

Dad and Debbie just don't seem to be able to see eye to eye. Meanwhile, Betty has become addicted to an electric pencil sharpener.

Betty brings a crystal into the Kelly household to help with peace and harmony. Unfortunately, all it seems to bring is instant havoc.

Debbie and Jenny have trouble sharing one room while another room is being painted. When Grandma arrives, things get even worse.

Martin finds the answer to his needs when Jeanette walks through the door. Meanwhile, Betty suspects Stan of being unfaithful.

The Kellys prepare for a visit from their cousin Elaine, a boring, buck-toothed, chubby, country girl. But they're in for quite a surprise, especially Nudge.

Betty and Martin have a falling out when Betty redesigns the office letterhead in her own inimitable style.

Simon convinces Dad to give him a job in the office, so Dad makes him Office Manager! Naturally Betty is very upset. To make matters worse, Simon decides Betty's filing system needs revamping.

Debbie asks for a clothing allowance to compensate for the clothes that Jenny has ruined. Stan comes down from Walgett with a startling proposition for Betty.

The forces of confusion are gathering as the date of Betty and Stan's wedding draws near. Simon and Nudge are plotting a surprise for Stan's bucks night, and Betty's parents mysteriously disappear.

At last the big day has arrived and things do not go smoothly with the bridesmaids. Stan reassures Martin all will be right on the night, and Betty has a surprise for them all.

Debbie tries to give Nudge etiquette lessons while Betty decides to become more like Ita Buttrose.

Simon and Nudge give Dad a headache when they decide drums are the answer to their boredom problem. Meanwhile, Martin discovers he has a not-so-silent partner in Betty.

Martin receives a cheque written on a banana and Debbie falls for a married man.

Confusion and angst reign when Jenny decides to divorce her family. Betty becomes embroiled in litigation with the local lawyer who seems intent on suing everyone in sight.

When cousin Elaine drops in to visit, Martin makes her welcome despite protests from the family. Meanwhile, Nudge claims to have found the secret to success with women.

Jenny has a billy-cart accident and Debbie is assigned to take care of her. Meanwhile, Nudge develops a lifestyle-threatening allergy.

When Martin needs some interior decorating ideas for a client, he hires his attractive neighbour, Jeanette. This upsets Betty, who wanted the job herself.

Nudge appears on the Magic Carpet Quiz Show, answering questions on his special subject, the Phantom.

Simon has problems enrolling at university. Jenny wants to become school captain, with dirty tactics.

Betty has a new role model, Ita Buttrose, while Nudge is about to read his first book.

Martin grows two lemons and tries his luck with some plants.

Martin wants to relive his childhood and purchase an Austin-Healey Sprite. Debbie wants to drop out of art school.

Nudge and Betty come home with a new electronic doorbell. Simon practices being a waiter.

Betty stays at the Kellys as her flat is flooded. Jenny gets her Barbie dolls confiscated as punishment.

Betty buys a stolen car, but with a cheque made out to herself.

Simon follows a new western revival, and Jenny is doing an assignment on the stockmarket.

Martin lets Simon fix up the muddy backyard to test his engineering skills.

On a boring Saturday, the family does a painting of a bowl of fruit, while Nudge and Betty re-create the Pro Hart carpet commercial.

Nudge gets compassionate leave as his tree is sick. Simon has the hiccups.

Simon moves out of the house and Nudge moves in. Debbie feels insecure without her doll.

Betty gets her head stuck in her helmet. Martin wants to discuss marriage with Jeanette.

Nudge gets a second job to pay for dinner with a stunning lady, but he gets stuck in a chicken suit.

Elaine is back in town for a new tattoo. Betty is making a time capsule, so she sticks a video camera on her helmet and walks around observing life.

Martin enters the architects' golf day and enlists the help of Nudge. Debbie tries to dye Simon's shirt back to its correct colour.

The boys want an expensive body kit for the VW. Debbie washes windows at traffic lights to make money.

Simon decides to quote Dad for some jobs that need doing round the place. Debbie supports the echidna.

Martin gets a fax machine but has a few problems. Debbie has a new boyfriend but finds him too possessive. Martin is designing an archive building.

The whole family gets chicken pox and Jenny can't go to camp. Jeanette takes care of them and puts them through hell.

Debbie gets into astrology. Nudge changes the doorbell to a foghorn.

Betty resigns as Martin has insulted her 145 times. Nudge gets into a university course on horticulture.

Martin and Betty perform CPR on Jenny after she's electrocuted by a faulty cord. Jenny celebrates turning 13 at home resting after being shocked by the faulty cord.

Betty is writing a secretarial companion. Nudge has a Tupperware party.

Debbie says the family is too predictable, so she starts dressing weird. Betty is doing her HSC at night school.

Betty is not getting any sleep because of her study. Debbie wants to work in Byron Bay.
