Hendrik introduces various residents of the nursing home in Amsterdam, whilst a mysterious aquarium incident continues to preoccupy the rumors in the house.

New resident Eefje Brand slowly gets acquainted with Hendrik and his friends. Meanwhile, the new rules of the nursing home are forcing them to call into existence their own club: the 'Omanido-society'.

The first trip of the 'Omanido-society' turns out to be a huge success, despite the suspicious directress is not sharing the enthusiasm. Not in the least when she is informed of some other initiatives.

The 'Omanido-society' is gaining popularity in the nursing home. It is Hendrik's turn to prepare a day out for the group. Besides this trip, Hendrik is also plotting a surprise for Eefje.

Several residents of the nursing home are struggling with diseases and other inconveniences. Hendrik and Eefje are trying to stay positive and are making an effort to disclose the nursing home's inaccessible regulations.

Rumors of the rehousing of residents are infuriating the nursing home. Despite this unrest, the 'Omanido-society' welcomes two new members to raise the spirit. Except for Hendrik's friend Evert, who is facing another operation.

A heat wave influences the activities of the residents. Despite the weather and the absence of Evert, the trip of the 'Omanido-society' is a success. Their relationship with the directress, however, is severely worsened.

Evert's operation has some severe effects on his temper, while Hendrik's 'battle' with the direction reaches the point of no return with the dismissal of a well-known employee.

Despite he celebrates his birthday, Hendrik is struggling with his affection for Eefje because he's not sure his feelings are mutual. An 'Omanido-society' trip to the beach seems to give him the opportunity to address this matter to Eefje.

Hendrik finally gathers enough courage to tell Eefje what's on his chest. Eefje succeeds in cheering him up and find herself later on "rescued" by Hendrik during a fire drill. Then a tragic event occurs.

Hendrik regularly visits Eefje and is comforted by his friend Evert. Hendrik also offers support to Grietje, who is struggling with Alzheimer's disease.

Hendrik reflects on his diary and apologetically admits that he has been somewhat sad. He should be happy now that the Holidays are approaching, but it's hard to keep up appearances. The time has come to make new plans for another year.
