A professor of literature (Luis Machín) murders his student to steal a novel that he considers "a real author, not a student of literature." Montero sets out to discover the murder, and in search of evidence discovers a terrible truth.

Brothers Franco and Lorenzo Montero solve criminal cases, helped by Lorenzo's brilliant mind.

The owner of a well-known television channel is murdered in his apartment. The only characteristics the witness gives are: "a lame fat man". Meanwhile, Lorenzo participates in a television program of intelligence contest.

There is a camp for the children of the police, to which Lorenzo comes. A foreigner is mysteriously murdered in the town of Los Pinos. Years later, after the intrigue that Lorenzo received when listening the story, begins to investigate.

An old millionaire dies, and his youngest is the only heiress.

A sniper kills three victims in different places. When they were in full investigation appears an alleged inspector who was to spend some days with Franco and Lorenzo to evaluate how the boy lived.

The brothers Montero (Franco and Lorenzo) went to see a play with Mansilla and Kamiho. During the play, the protagonist is killed by one of his fellows.

An entrepreneur appears dead in a pile of sand in the middle of a construction site, with a bullet in his back. Lorenzo suffers discrimination from the other boys in the neighborhood. He falls in love with one of them, named Valentina.

Subcommissary Serrano is involved in a "mafia" of commissioners. Franco is present an assault to that sub commissary that ends with a bullet that will leave to Franco like main suspect.

Franco Montero is offered the job of commissioner, which he accepts. In turn, Lorenzo is offered a scholarship in a program for brilliant minds that is developed in France.
