Hello From My Front Porch S4E001: Season 4 of "Hello From My Front Porch" kicks off with some very big news. Turns out I may not need to relocate to Florida after all, or at least not very soon. So I get to stay on my Front Porch a bit longer.

Hello From My Front Porch S4E002: I wrote up scripts for a couple dozen training videos for work. Well, then I got to be in charge of bringing them into existence complete with paid actors, production crew, and a full week of day-long shooting.

Hello From My Front Porch S4E003: One of the professional actors we hired for the training videos we are producing turned out to be Cincinnati-area singing celebrity Reyna Spears. Which naturally meant I had to arrange a karaoke field trip.

Hello From My Front Porch S4E004: I grew a face full of stubble for a role I had in one of the training videos recently shot out in Ohio. Some have said they like the look on me, but I disagree. So today the stubble goes away.

Hello From My Front Porch S4E63: Now that my job has me traveling much more than I had been, and with most of it lately being solely to Washington, DC, I get asked what I'm actually doing out there all that time. Well, here's a glimpse at just one of those days.

Our nation seems to be in meltdown mode over CoronaVirus paranoia. The hysteria is now over the top and excessive. We are better than this. We can get through this, together, but only if we get smart about it rather than fearful.

In response to health concerns over the CoronaVirus, the Governor of Iowa mandated that all restaurants were to stop in-store dining as of 3/17/20. But many, including Pie Five, do still offer carry out and delivery options.

The reality that is the CoronaVirus and the widespread concern over minimizing it's spread has literally led to many fundamental changes in our daily lives. But those changes have impacts which will extend far beyond the current crisis.

As the days continue with CoronaVirus 'social distancing' and the options for things to do or places to go is increasingly restricted, it would be easy to be overwhelmed by it all. But I'm confident that we will weather this storm.

Hello From My Front Porch S4E68: The proverbial "new normal" that everyone keeps saying we are now in causes different, extreme reactions in various people. Now is the time for us to remember we are ALL forced into this "new normal" situation.

Lisa and her daughter Sophia have been teaching to play the Pokemon Go application on my phone. It's a very complicated game that will take me time to learn. But it's also a great activity during this COVID-19 time.

Today, May 15, 2020, is the day my 2nd daughter, Victoria Kirsten, would have been 30 years old. Instead she "finished the race" ahead of the rest of us and became our "forever baby". She remains personal symbol and motivation for me.

Lock down restrictions are starting to be lifted here in Iowa. My first thought was that this means I get to enjoy may favorite Pie Five Pizza in it's natural habitat, while also having another great conversation with the Ankeny location's owner, my friend "Pizza Steve" Roberts.

Hello From My Front Porch S4E88: So many celebrities and media personalities are now taking to social media to continue to "perform" for their fans or remain connected. It's a great use of technology. It's also something I was doing long before the rest of them.

I'm very honored to get to serve as VP of the Filipino-American Society of Iowa. We spent the Sunday before Memorial Day preparing and delivering 400 fresh-made Filipino meals to the needy in around Des Moines. What a great group it is.

One of my favorite spots in my backyard is the nice little creek that runs through it. But some recent rain caused it to not look quite so nice nor quite so little. Yet even then it was still a peaceful and relaxing spot to enjoy.

Hello From My Front Porch S492: Peaceful protests of the tragic death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers are now occurring all across the nation. But sadly reports are that the peaceful message of change is being hijacked by those with ulterior motives.

Hello From My Front Porch S493: We can be our own worst enemies. As a society we've become far to quick to assign people to groups and then pass judgment on them based on that grouping. We need to get better about seeing each other as unique individuals to overcome our differences.

Hello From My Front Porch S4E94: There is a great deal of debate right now over the concept of whether one group 'matters' as much as another group, with some arguing all groups 'matter' equally. But I have a slightly different view which is based on you as an individual.
