The manager for a bank's loan department is rushed into extending a loan despite his better judgment. This was done despite reservations and insistence of his superiors who would not allow him the usual due diligence. Everything goes wrong.

The hunt is on to recover assets lost to fraud. The former president of Osaka Steel is on the run, but living in luxury with his mistress. The bank manager is racing against the government's tax bureau to get his hands on the assets to recover some losses.

An on-site inspection is the payback for the loan section manager's defiant performance at the headquarters the week before. The department is subject to a three-day surprise inspection and then documents go missing. The key here may be the unsaid wish of a dying man.

With the discovery of an old photograph much is revealed including the connection between the branch manager and the charlatan former CEO. The hunt is on for a bank book, a hidden account and forcing the hand of the betrayers. The bankers does get slapped however.

It seems like the banker has been lied to and betrayed by the hostess. The taxation bureau has the upper hand and all is in the hands of fate now. The husband reveals the truth to his wife about his motivation and background. The wife receives a bad omen.

A family run hotel is in red after just having received a loan from the bank. A smaller bank managed to avoid the quagmire. The hotels' second-in-command seems to be the culprit. The bank puts Hanzawa in charge following direct orders from the chairman himself. The clock is ticking with a government inspection due in two weeks.

with the government breathing down their necks the bank races to find assets to compensate for the loss at the hotel. There is an internal enemy to fend off as well. With that said, at least a raid at home goes well and the tax bureau does not recover certain files stashed there.

Hanzawa buys himself and the hotel president some time, but has to contend with a mock inspection in preparation for the real thing. His wife packs up and goes on a surprise vacation. in the meanwhile, an electric company is diverting money to an apparel company to the tune of thirty million yen.

It is the day of the governmental inspection and hearing and everything hinges on finding a solution for the nearly insolvent bank. Will the conspiracy to overthrow its hereditary president come to be or is there a solution? The fate of the bank's chairmanship rides on this.

The evidence is being presented to the chairman of his deputy's act of betrayal to him and the bank. A voice-recording of the affiliated electrical company is due, but does not arrive. A report from human resources makes things clearer. It is a setback.
